Mages of Mystralia : Archmage Crack Terrible, clunky battle and annoying user interface. Adjusting your spells can easily take up to a minute, and some fights need to be done several times. Boss fights are just something else, long cycles of inflexibility along with plenty of health, they are boring and drag on and on.
The character system is like Magicka or Eternal Darkness, but with the additional elements of having to align the runes so that they point to each other. This can force you to take a few minutes to shuffle things right. This has to do EVERY time you want to fix your magic. While not great, there are no major drawbacks. There were some annoyances throughout, but easily avoided or gone from and into another frustration that mixed the resentment. This next part sounds strange but wants to avoid spoiling. There were some areas of confusion as I progressed into the game as well as parts of the game which were fine, but I didn’t have to learn until the game forced it on me and took it as a major no. I got this copy for free from a friend and although I do not regret playing it in its entirety (which is becoming more difficult for some games), I would feel good if I got it on sale. In short, the character design is super crap. I really love what they came up with, the combos that can be created, but the way to create them and how the components interact with each other is a mess. Experimenting was great, but anything beyond the basics as you usually are waiting for Mana to renew.
Mages of Mystralia : Archmage Torrent In the kingdom of Mystralia, it takes more brains than brawn to succeed. You will face down giant, powerful creatures and navigate treacherous terrain. You will encounter puzzles that confound even the wisest of the old sages. And you must overcome obstacles put in place by people who do not want you to succeed.
Your path will not be easy. In Mages of Mystralia, you play as Zia, a young girl who discovers that she has been born with an innate sense of magic. Unfortunately, magic has been banned, so she strikes off to train on her own to gain some control over her powers. On her journey, she meets other exiled mages and, discovers runes with magical properties and realizes that she can combine these runes in millions of different ways to come up with completely new spells.
The story was written by bestselling author Ed Greenwood, creator of the Forgotten Realms fantasy world for Dungeons and Dragons, which served as the basis for games like Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights, as well as about 170 fantasy books.
